This last weekend was so typical of Oregon in the spring-time. Saturday the temperature was in the mid-70's and it was bright and sunny. Sunday, we had clouds, and yesterday the temperature was in the 40's and today it's raining. It's not an unique saying, but we do say that if you don't like the weather, wait a minute, or a day.
It was so clear on Sunday we could see the mountains from the farm. In the photo above and to the right, if you look closely, just over Sophia's shoulder you can see Mt. Hood.

Saturday was so beautiful we took Sophia to the
Tulip Festival which is essentially the spring version of the pumpkin farm; farmers realizing they can get silly city-folk to come pay them ridiculous amounts of money just to walk around their crop and take pictures with their kids. That cynical statement aside, it was really beautiful and Sophia loved all the colors and flowers.

There were, of course, the
obligatory other entertainments
including swings made out of 'rustic' materials, train rides (which cost extra) and the largest johnny-jump-up I've ever seen.

Entertainment, of course, also included all the other people. My

favorite were the two woman who had with them on a leash, their goat. Yes, I said goat. They lead the goat around the fields just like a dog, and even posed him for pictures next to the flowers. It's just amazing what people will do.
